Gage is a wonderful girl. She is great in the car, in the house, good on a leash and loves to run and play. She she very very smart and there isn't anything she couldn't learn if someone were willing to teach her.
She already knows AND obeys lots of commands like Come, Leave It, Wait for It, etc. She doesn't take anything that is not given to her and won't even touch her food unless you tell her "OK". (Her foster mom said she sat staring at her food bowl one day because she had not been given the OK to eat it!) What a good girl!
She was heartworm positive and has been successfully treated for that. Therefore, she will need to be on heartworm preventative for the rest of her life.
She is a bit "iffy" around other dogs, so her foster mom thinks she would do best in a home without other dogs.
As of 3/2013 Gage is about 3 years old and weighs about 66 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is house trained.
An adoption fee will be required, along with a contract and a home visit. Local adoption is preferred. Please contact Dot for more information.
